With this comprehensive framework, we developed a brand that truly cut through the noise, empowering audiences to harness the energy in all its forms. This distinct identity and brand DNA not only earned The Energy a Mumbrella Publish Award within 6 months of launch, but also propelled the platform to double its projected subscriber base within the first two months.


The logo embodies the brand’s core idea of synthesising — transforming complex topics surrounding the energy transition into clear, actionable insights. This concept is visually captured through the fusion of the initials T and E. Drawing inspiration from the logo’s geometric and linear foundations are a library of energetic patters. These forms are brought to life to represent key brand behaviours — focus, synthesise, align, and radiate. The brand’s metaphoric messaging built on an electric tone connects back to its core purpose: to energise understanding and inspire action within the evolving energy landscape. The custom iconography extends the visual language of the logo, exploring key themes such as climate, policy, regulation, people, and capital. Each icon is crafted using the same bevelled edges, line weight, and negative space principles found within the logo, creating a consistent and cohesive aesthetic.
